Clark angst Collection - Clark encounters the evil Lex, who tries to coerce him into joining him so they can rule the world together. Clark declines and grips his throat. The evil Lex put on a kryptonite ring and tells Clark that he knows his weakness. Martha and Jonathan comes in, and Lex shoots Jonathan in the leg and departs.

@Ladydragontl Not to mention him and Lana that got annoying, I love you, I'm leaving you, I need you, I can't be around you. Year after year. And his hatred for Lex, remember the movies? Superman would fly in to his window and be all polite nearly friendly with the "What'cha doing Luthor?" and he'd banter back "Oh just trying to take over the world."

@Ladydragontl Lex, Lex was at least partially driven to becoming the evil man he was by Clark and his family in this version of the story and Clark and his family kept trying to keep him away from his true father's vision of his protecting humanity, not to mention his family and friends were willing to absolve him of anything that if anyone else had done they would resent and mistrust, they even refused to trust his true father. As did Clark, and they tried to blame him for things they caused.

@ps3fan4life007 Personally I think that Clark has responsibility in the fact that the evil side of Lex won out, Martha and Jonathan as well. I also think Jonathan is responsible for Clark's hatred and mistrust of his true father throughout most of the series that I saw, Jonathan was so protective and at times it seemed even paranoid about Clark's abilities that he refused to trust anyone but Martha and himself with it. They also had a habit of absolving Clark of anything.
