Here in Switzerland, since most of the hay crop is high in the mountains and on steep slopes, the hay has to be cut and collected by hand. Although, this is on the flat, we found these two guys harvesting the hay "mountain style". When the hay has been cut, it dries, just like at home, then hand raked into swaths and loaded onto trucks. In the mountains, the hay isn't baled, it's just put into the hay sheds loose.
