The Munroe Kelly doctrine, of 1867 stated that the bones in the skull fuse. This has been totally dis proven. In the mid 60's Upledger at the university of Michigan, using dissection, cinematographic radiography, and electron microscopy proved that there is a space between the sutures (1/100 of an inch) connective tissue, blood supply and nerve supply. For further confirmation consult Chaitows work and SOT documents.
