I think this is a common case of completely overanalysing lost to the nth degree. ;) Although I will say it's insteresting to mention the blacking out. I suppose this could have happened both plane crashes, although it wouldn't explain their injuries.

I gotta say, this is really freakin interesting. I forgot in the first crash Jack seemed to be the only one out in the jungle (just like in the second crash) while everyone obviously was with the plane. Did he "jump" out of the plane like he and the others did during the second crash? I totally never realized this before. Good observations! Keep your theories coming!

I was first thinking the whole not telling hurley his name thing was just because he was in a panic. but aren't most spinal surgeons pretty cool under pressure. and i know that in most first aid training they tell you to identify yourself when you start to enlist the help of others. good stuff man
