READ DESCRIPTION!!
Okay so this has been going on for a while. The beep lasts for 5 seconds. I usually smack the right side of my computer to get it going. I don't wanna do that anymore. I wanna just turn it on without ANY problem like a normal computer!! Even though when I first got it, I didn't have this problem. It started like a month or so after words. I have no idea why its doing this. I'll give you the run down of the specs on my computer.
NVIDIA GeForce 9200 video card
Dual-Core Processor E5200
6 GB DDR2 of RAM
640GB of hard drive
Its a Gateway DX4800-05e model and I have no idea about my AC power.
So yeah. HELP ME PLEASE! (ALSO: This happens when I'm actually on it too. It'll turn off with the 5 second beep.) Please I need help with this.
The only fix for Gateway computers that make this noise is to throw them in the trash where they belong....

I had this issue but it was 3 beeps, turn out it was the ram. This could be something with your hardware.
