Dust explosions are a phenomena where finely divided materials explode, when as piles of powder or solids they normally would not. This occurs because the the dust is tiny and easy to burn and it is very well mixed with air (specifically the oxygen in the air). Here regular flour is blown into a candle. There were several takes where the candle was extinguished and it seems that once the flour has burned once, the dust does not easily reburn. Do NOT try this at home- this was preformed under safe lab conditions with proper fire-retardation materials in use.
I hope this won't stop people putting flour in hair driers in the name of humour
