Although I commend you for trying to help people with the confusing switch to DTV, your explanation is a little bit misleading.
I say this because during the 90's and 2000's there were plenty of high end Analog ONLY tvs that would understand when there was no signal (static) comming in on a channel, and mute the sound and supplement the static with a bright blue image. This was to save people from that awful noise and static look, but I assure you these TV's are analog.
Have you considered entering this video into the DTV video contest? The grand prize is am HDTV, and I think your entry could help a lot of people out.
