I recorded the previous quest with Ezel Barbier but decided against uploading it because it was long and boring (Ezel put everybody to sleep and I killed everybody as soon as I managed to reach them on the map, which was the main difficulty).
At this point, Bug/Lamia is still the way to go. Sandstorm the adjacent units and blind the wyrms who have really strong attack, usually hit too many characters with breath attacks (making 'damage to MP' not really reliable enough) and can tank for ages before being killed. Lamia's Hand Slap is the best way to hit enemies when Sandstorm isn't as effective and delaying a healthy target's turn is always a nice additional effect.
The flan may seem like a problem, since they only take damage from magic, but I didn't want to waste my time transforming into a lightning flan and just turned it into a frog at the end of the battle. In frog status, among other useful things, you lose your defence, hence the flan dies in one hit.
I also captured the Ice Drake here. Mighty Guard could be useful for future battles but what I was most concerned with was having a higher-levelled monster to transform into at this point. Oh, and breath attacks are sexy as always of course.

Lamia slaps Lamia. Not the usual circumstances in the game, unless you manage to get them talking about hair.

If you capture strong monsters and feed them the right items, you can turn them into the strongest fighters in the game. The only problem is that you have to take an extra turn morphing, which other units could use for attacking instead.

Wouldn't moving Marche out of the way actually benefit the whole he's not involved thing because technically the monsters fight the first thing they see so attacking him actusl brings him in to the battle regardless if he attacks back or not

Not necessarily. Sometimes that will just make the monsters go after him. As long as he's not the one killing the enemies, I think I'm doing it right.
