I was playing l4d2 today and whilst in the safe room waiting for the final teammate to die after being downed a smoker spawned INSIDE the safe room and grabbed me....so according to the game I never made it

I wouldn't have gone to the corner.
I would've looked to see if there was a closet or stairs or a ladder.
If so:
1) go into the closet and hide
2) go upstairs
3) climb up or down the ladder
If not:
Just run around the room in circles and scream: "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIEEEE!!"
