and also they look for uniforms.. how well you are wearing it..and the laces..flashes.. socks.. ties.. hats.. all have to be the same.. all round the bad..

they judge things like, the steadiness of the tempo through out the medly/msr, the difficult of the tune and how well its played, its execution, the tone of the pipes, making sure everything is in perfect tune. things of that nature. there are many many things judges look at when judging a band.
