Anderson Cooper moderated a discussion between me and CNN'S Roland Martin, who'd written a column in defense of Carrie Prejean, Miss California, and her botched answer at the Miss USA pageant about marriage for gays and lesbians. Why do people like Martin keep bringing up the President's not supporting gay marriage as though that's supposed to shut gay people up? We don't have to agree with everything the President says.

Also being a Jewish man you should be aware that in the Old Testament Polygamy was allowed but it is not allowed now. As was incest (Abraham and Sarah, Adam and Eve's children) but it is not allowed now. In many cultures gay marriage was allowed. In the early point of our country interracial marriage was illeagal. There is no rational reason for gay people not being allowed to marry. It is only people with a theocratical agenda that oppose it.

Michelangelo Signorile interviewed Max Blumenthal around the time of this interview and Blumenthal speculated that Martin was a homosexual that was "cured" by his now wife. Martin has real problems with homosexuality, makes you wonder why.
