Xunantunich is one of Belizé's and for that fact, the worlds, most accesible and nice to view Mayan ruins. Just outside by the entrance before the pull-barge, there is the opportunity to buy crafts- and with the steep incline of the hill, they more-or-less have your attention and do a good job of getting you in. From there, it is down to negotiating with them...
Lovely slate carvings, painted with show polish and then cured.
wow we had practically exactley the same trip. when i went i went to Caye caulker, i think we even had the same tour guide going out to the reef and i was at the Iguana resort a lot of the time even though i didnt stay there, and we stopped by and met these people. my dad even did the crank ferry himself! haha. and i went to atm and i am positive we had the same tour guide on that one!
