Wii: Blazing Angels Walkthrough The Battle of New Georgia Ace part 1 of 3
This is how I earned an Ace Rating, and an Asia-Pacific Campaign Medal.
In this mission, The Battle of New Georgia, you will have the choice between six (6) different planes. I would recommend flying either the SB2C Helldiver, because it has the best overall performance; or the Beaufighter because it has decent performance and excellent firepower. You begin this mission flying over the ocean toward the New Georgia Islands. OBJECTIVE: ASSIST THE INVASION OF NEW GEORGIA ISLANDS; ASSIST THE 172nd INFANTRY DIVISION. Locate the secondary objective highlighted by an orange marker on your radar, race toward the secondary target at maximum speed, line up your bombing reticule with the target, release two (2) bombs the moment that the target is inside of your bombing reticule. After you have released your bombs turn twenty (20) degrees to the right and continue flying at maximum speed, you will be given your first (1) checkpoint. A swarm of about eighteen (18) Japanese bombers will appear on your left side, continue flying at maximum speed toward the right-side of the formation, after you have passed the front line of primary targets command your wingmen to attack and command Frank to hunt. Continue flying straight until the second line of bombers is behind you, turn 180 degrees around and begin shooting down bombers, always highlight the closest bomber and shoot it down, you may have to cycle through several targets to highlight the closest one. TIP: it will be helpful to learn how to find and follow a target without having it highlighted, this will save time and help you from being distracted by the wrong targets. You will have about five (5) minutes to shoot down seventeen (17) bombers and fighters, use Frank as much as possible and keep your plane near the green highlighted targets on your radar. If at any point during your mission you are being chased and shot at by enemy Japanese fighters, command Tom to distract them by pressing (down) on the Wiimote control pad. After five (5) minutes you will have reached the second (2) checkpoint. IMPORTANT: After the second (2) checkpoint appears you should continue shooting down bombers and fighter planes until the health bar for the 172nd infantry division is completely full, only after the bar is full should you proceed on to assist 169th infantry division. End of Part 1 of 3, view part 2 of 3 for further details. Good Luck

  • on the last level (Berlin 1945) which plane would u recomend cause i'm having trouble flying level with the water to not be seen.

  • @brandon998998

There are several planes that work, but I personally prefer using the FW 190 D9... but make sure you upgrade it in the standalone mode.

  • i use the mosquito every time i play this mission. it may have less firepower than the beaufighter, but it's faster and more manverable, and i think both planes have the same payload

  • I will have to try it with the Mosquito and see how it works... thanks for the tip.

  • What's the cheat??? Will it mess up my Wii for other games.

  • @WiiWalkthroughVideos

If I used the cheat to unlock everything, would you reccomend the B-25 Mitchell?

  • the beaufighter has more firepower so you can cut tanks and planes to ribbons but it is soooooo slow... i use the mosquito

  • I take it this is the Wii exclusive level.

  • i passed this mission in a dauntilis it was bad very bad

  • @bismarckse ok thanks :)

  • @Jackie68450 i've used the SB2A before, and the speed and guns sucked. i use the Mosquito, it's fast, manuverable, and carries the same payload as the Beaufighter
