After the first period, as we sat in our seats chatting about Duluth's very own Jack Connolly during the Friday night Superior Cup clash between the UMD Bulldogs and the Lakers of Lake Superior State, a DECC employee approached my in-law Brodie and told him his name had been drawn for the Beat the Bulldog contest. He was rushed-out to say the least and thought of having his son Jacob take his place, but I, Kenny K suggested there's alot of pucks to shoot and maybe Jake should wait 'til he's a big boy. Shooting the regulation size foam pucks at a rapid-fire pace the hapless doggie in goal got schooled by the former High School hockey player from Mankato. They said he scored 16 goals, you be the judge. But he did win a 6" Subway and the chance to snag the grand prize, a UMD jersey if his score of 16 holds up at the end of the season. Stay tuned...
