Smith and Wesson M&P .40 compact range report and recoil shot

I took my M&P to the range for the first time and shot 150 rounds of federal premium FMJ through it. I was amazed at how clean the pistol stayed. So far I love this gun.

I had the exact same gun. Traded it in because I couldn't handle the recoil. I'll admit im a novice shooter but that gun literally beat up my hand. Im thinking if trying the .40 again but maybe with something I can get a better grip on. I have a hk P2000 9mm so if I try the .40 again it will be the same HK model.

@coleslaw331 Aw man you shouldve kept it. I just recently bought a Stormlake 9mm conversion barrel for mine and will do a video on it when the magazines come.

@Dre6k I just had the 2 mags that came with the gun. So we just shot and reloaded them over and over. Still waiting for my mag to get off of backorder

@Acein8ter Have to agree on that, the habit of resetting the weak hand fingers after every shot is not a good idea, ultimately dangerous in a self-defense situation. It is very likely to have a negative effect on shooting fundamentals.

get two mag or $50.,it ended dec 2010.
