hi. i too have this model, and after a long search on the internet, did find a picture of 31105 in redstripe rail freight as modelled so the livery is correct.
-
brilliant i love 31s
-
i have this loco very nice especially on the speeklink workings

Great review there mate, I am tempted to buy a Class 31 next for my layout. I will probably get either a BR Blue one or a Triple Grey.

@Liverpoolfcfever - yes it does. There are good photos on ehattons.com of the 31 in this livery, including a photo of the roof showing the fan.

The NEM couplings for your class 31 ARE compatible with the bigger ones. All you have to do is line up the pins correctly so the NEM and the other bigger couplings fit together.

@BR75069
You're right, they do line up but unfortunately they don't want to go through the cross-over points without derailing. All seems ok with the wider couplings though.

Nice Review. Vid well organized.
31's do have a NEM coupling box don't they?
A 31 is on my wish list.(someday)
Agree on the cab lights. H should sell models having a on/off functon for it. Heck,, Marklin has an engine in a 'Kids' starter set with a - flashing warning light on F1.
Sell a lot more Locos w/decoder I'd think.

@bighoward1001
Thanks for your comments. This one does have NEM coupling boxes. I am have left the front one empty and put a wide Hornby coupling on the rear. You're right about the lights, they really should be making the most of the DCC control for functions.
