Leather Cord Slip Knot for Necklaces

This is just a clip from the Stari Girl Beginner Jewelry Making DVD. In the video, Stari Guy does this technique twice using 2 different colored cords so you can see how one wraps around the other.. If you have a hard time doing this, just stop, pause and try again.

Where can I get leather cords from? I want to make a necklace with this type of material.

@emscott32 any local craft store or you can use any type of cord like hemp, waxed cord etc.

i have necklace that is to long for me it just has simple string, can i cut it in half with a pair of siccors and tie it from there
