  • Really good video and yet a good pistol.

but i dont understand why do they say its bulky, heavy and slow to reload ?

1,130g isnt supposed to be 1.1kg ? and after you practise reloading you could get better easliy.

  • @FighterO2 As in compared to other pistols, for example a Luger P08 was considerably lighter, smaller, and easier to reload compared to a C96. Which was ultimately why it wasn't officially adopted by the German military as a standard side arm.

  • i like the song whats it called?

  • It's called 'To The Beggin' I Will Go' by Old Blind Dogs.

  • came here because I saw the Mauser c86 in the movie "Joe Kidd" on TV. But I must say how much I LOVE the song!! It's great, I absolutely love this kind of music! Even though it is Irish folk music (I think) it has a very much bluegrass feel to it!

  • Mauser C96 or more preferably the Shanxi type 17 is my favorite pistol ever!!!!

  • This sucks

  • The problem of the mag can easily be solved, because together the strip mag, there's an SMG like mag that can be used.

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the song and artist please?

  • @Bowserboy21 I understand although stainless might be nice for a belly gun.as for 45 hammer, not much diff. anyway. The pistol is still a Broomhandle even with changed grips plus one could have Hogue grips (good sticky plastic) in the shape of original. There is always the people who want original and those who modify to make something work better for some purpose.Same with antique cars that are kept in museum & hot rods that are driven.I would not alter a collector arm but for a carry pistol?Sure

  • @MuhammadsStillASissy I was talking more about the fact that he wanted it to be stainless steel and have hogue grips. I can't imagine a gun like this being silver, and it can't be a "Broomhandle" without an original handle and grip. There's a reason these guns are held in such high esteem and are so recognizable; I can understand internal modifications to better it mechanically, but anything that changes its image to something different than the original just seems wrong to me. Just my opinion.

  • @Bowserboy21 Well, that is one opinion. There are those of us who still carry our Mausers at one time or another and so we modernize them or alter them to make them function to our particular needs.I carried a 712 in S.Africa when working on an Armed Response Team. Check my avitar. It is my custom 20rd fixed mag Bolo with cut out hammer, lightened bolt, integral muzzle brake. You might be supprised to see some of the Mauser Pistols around and still in use.

  • does anyone know if a gun company still makes these guns? I would love to have one
