@music1831 Sadly I think the reason is because generally all the comedians now are predominately 'young' There are few that have any substance to them, they are shallow whereas the older performers have a whole life's experience behind them and are able to use it in their act. Unlike you though, I do like 'The Big Bang Theory' which is not dissimilar to the British equivalent 'The IT Crowd'.

@music1831 I think its because British humour (English, Scots, Welsh and N. Irish) aren't scared to take risks they push the envelope and tastes also British humour has irony, the vital ingredient. In a land like America they'll be confined to the restraints of society and the humour is more sit-com based because anything shocking is too shocking to a point. Janet Jacksons wardrobe malfunction and a hint of a nipple caused a national scandal, while in Britian and europe its nothing special.

@angus1878 What has happened to American humor today?This was when America produced really funny shows.Now every show today is just not funny & we in Australia seem to get all the SHIT shows like "Two & A Half Men",The Big Bang Theory',How I Met Your Mother"Long live British humor.
