Anthropologist Mark Auslander, Director of the M.A. Program in Cultural Production at Brandeis University, discusses his graduate seminar's collaborative project with a group of teens in Waltham Massachusetts in Fall 2007, through the Boys and Girls Club. In time, however, we all came to understand the importance of their innovative visual design, which we came to appreciate in light of our readings in object relations theory.
