  • In my opinion, this is the greatest Bernard Herrmann film score ever composed..The opening credits, the Talos sequence and Hydra's Teeth are classics...I'm always amazed that this is not included in any top 100 film scores on any Internet site I find, and to me, that's extraordinary...I've always imagined matching this Talos musical score with the emergence of Godzilla in the original Japanese version of "Gojira" (1954)...It would be interesting...Thank you so much for your postings...

  • @nickellicker totally agree with you. Herrmann was a brilliant composer, and I've been a fan of this film and its wonderful music since I was a child. Other favorite scores by him are for the films Mysterious Island and Vertigo.
