Perhaps we need to re-visit some older models of distribution, rather than "throwing the baby out with the bath water". i.e. Reviving art house cinemas, having touring film festivals that reach far beyond the geography of Telluride, Park City, Seattle, SF, etc. Another reshaping of an old model: have indie cinemas where the price is $2 a ticket. Example: 50 people at $9 a ticket vs. 400 people at $2 a ticket. The latter is MORE money and MORE people seeing the film.
