@thebuttonsonmykeyboa I promise you, there are some Americans who will never buy another automatic as long as manuals still exist. Unfortunately, most of my countrymen care more about [American] Football more than learning the skill needed to run a stick, and realizing all of the advantages thereof.

They are a differen't auto but twin clutch tranny works a lot differently, Besides there is nothing wrong with what ever tranny you use as long as you enjoy your car, standard auto does have less power than manuel tranny because of the way it is designed, while twin clutch offers simplicity, fun and no power loss.

I don't get what's so fun about manuel tranny, I don't find it fun at all, I love auto though, I can never get over how much fun I ahve it with and I am just as much as a car enthusiast as any other car driver why should the tranny matter...??

Okay, I love to drive a Manual Transmission car as much as the next man. But the days of Automatic transmissions being the laughing stock, unfun, boring, inferior transmissions are OVER. We're not in the the 19th or 20th century anymore, this is the 21st century and technology has really advanced over the years. Automatics on todays cars can be just as fast and just as much fun to drive as a manual tranny. So Autos are on the same level if not better than manuals now. GET OVER YOURSELVES!

That's not fluid coupling. That's called when fluid enters the crank shafts.
-
Automatics are for Nascar fans.

@quatroportte you are calling people dumbasses when you dont even know that a fluid coupling is less efficient in power transfer than a mechanical one?
-
@quatroportte are you being serious? youre really one to call people dumbasses, when youre the one who doesnt even know that the manual will deliver more of its power to the wheels because it is a solid, friction connection vs a fluid drive. automatics can only transfer about 85% of their power to the wheels because some is lost to the fluid drive of the torque converter.
-
@quatroportte it takes much more then 10 drag races to wear down a clutch when properly driven..i dont care wtf ferrari does with their cars. i have a friend that is a service manager at a volkswagon dealership and he says the same thing as me. Seriously why do you think semi trucks use clutches? more control of the truck lik downshifting and also a torque converter (automatic transmission) would have troubles pullin such loads as those truch pull. ask anyone
-
Oh yeah,u can use that extra power when you do a drag race cause the automatic will be ahead in the start and since your clutch wears out after roughly 10 races (with a highpowered car) that "extra" power is nowhere to be found since the clutch cannot deliver the power. In order to shift like a race car driver you need to be a race car driver.
Why do you think Ferrari switched to Auto?
Why do you think F1 only has Auto?
Sounds like you're the dumbass here (not your)
wht is it such an alien concept to drive a manual in america
