@DiamondinMJ Have to partially disagree with you there. As much as I like them both, Prince has more vocal range than D'Arby. D'Arby, while he's good at what he does, he never strays too much from his conventional sound. "Sign Your Name" may be the cusp of D'Arby's high vocal range, and I don't think that compares with some of the notes Prince hit on "Baby, I'm A Star," for instance.

His voice is immune to time.

@mashallw You can see recent videos of Terence Trent Darby on YouTube, singing lead vocals for INXS in concerts, and you know what? He's a brilliant choice!

@OronOfMontreal me too loved michael jackson not prince

@alank1975 funny that you would say that lol but Prince really lacks vocal power. True, Prince may hit a good note every now and then but he really doesn't have a good singing voice.

even if she is just acting, i coulod never kick him.

Prince's music never worked for me. Hated everything he ever did, although other people's covers of some of his music can be good. Dislike Prince almost as much as I dislike Madonna.
TTD is terrific.

Very underrated musical genie loved him then in '87 /'88 when I saw him live in Holland and still enjoying his music. Genius and played with the stones, inxs.

Good song, great beat, but he's a poor man's Prince.

2 words! Under Rated! Great video!
I never could understand how people hated this album. One thing about TTD I liked was that when he tried something different it was still great because he had the voice for it.
