For some reason I always picture children playing when hearing this one =)

you're right about your picture. Carl Orff in fact created an approach for teaching music education for children (Orff Schulwerk) in collaboration with Gunild Keetman; in fact this music is neither original from True Romance or Badlands, it's called Gassenhauer and it belongs to Orff's Schulwerk approach, inspired or arranged by, a much older work by the lutenist Hans Neusiedler (1536).
