I remember seeing a review of "Hairway" in Guitar Player mag in '89. They gave it 3/5 stars because there wasnt a single word on the whole album beyond the band name and album title. The reviewer said he wouldve gone 5/5 because the guitarist (Leary) "dosent merely copy the riffs of giants like Page and Clapton but do them one better". Too bad he couldnt get past the lack of song titles and album credits. The reviewer was like pissed about that fact. I kept that article for years.
yeah I did, it's a different recording. However, as far as I can tell the bass and vocals are playing the same notes, on the same gear, as the Hairway version. In order to illustrate it is NOT the Hairway version, as has been claimed, I pointed to the drums and the fact the lead is different (follows main bass riff more)....Dick.
