Why do the commentators state Karen's weight? Is that even allowed nowadays? That just doesn't seem right to me for some reason.
-
@skateroffigures According to Michelle -- who is 5'2" -- Karen is 5'8" -- and wants to be taller!
Meanwhile, Michelle towers over Yamaguchi, who is 5'1".

@flaming188 At this time I slightly preferred Karen's skating to Michelle's -- more fluid and graceful. But Michelle -- this surprised me -- said she was inspired to the artistic by Karen. Perhaps Harding's fall helped push Michelle toward the artistic from the more exclusivlely athletic.

@Sapphireskater Life's unfair (6)

@flaming188 on the brighter side, Karen is a better coach now than a skater before.

Michelle went on to become a better figure skater than Karen. Remember Salome? Michelle had perfect sixes that she deserved at the 2001 Nationals short and the 2004 Nationals long programs.
-
Michelle Kwan became more elegant after her artistic transformation with Salome. She has a lot of perfect sixes for presentation. Her change of edge spiral and the layback spin she did with her hands down her back were evident that she went on to become a better figure skater than Karen did.

true that
-
When it comes to skating Karen is more elegant and with Michelle, Michelle is more of a tomboy, she likes to do a bunch of jumps

I think its not fair that she's always compared to her sister but when Michelle skates, she's not often mentioned :/
Karen Kwan is really talented!-_-

I think this was masterpiece from both Lori and Karen. I really hope she'll be able to transmit this performance quality to more skaters.
