  • I saw the the butter cream cake filled 3 pans. Did you multiple the butter cake for 3 or this recipy is enought for 3 pans? What is the size of the pans? Thank you for your great work

    Love

    Nathal

  • Hi Nathal,

The pans are 8 inches. If you follow the recipe on the video it is enough for the three. Thanks for watching. Glad I can help.

  • Hi, lovely recipe! I've saved your chocolate butter cake recipe, I'm making my own wedding cake!

How long before my wedding do you recommend I bake it? I'm using a butter cream icing and a fondant over the top.

Also how many people would this serve? I need to serve 150 :)

And sorry for being a pain and asking all these questions!! haha

    Lovely vids xxx

  • Hi Ally,

Thanks. I assume you mean the one with the Guinness and butter? I would recommend baking it one week ahead and freezing. For 150 people, I would make a 14 inch, 10 inch and 6 inch cake for the actual display cake and then make a little extra to be sure to have as a backup. You will need to multiply the recipe times 4 for the wedding cake.

  • I really like to try your recipy, but i have a few question i would love to be answerd? What kind of flour? Is the butter 1 cup melted or dry? I dont have crisco can i put butter insted?

  • Hi Just regular all purpose flour, but sifted once. One cup soft room temperature butter, Don't use butter to grease the pan, it burns too easily. Use Crisco or Pam. Good luck! Let us know how it turns out.
