WCNC-TV will transition to DTV on June 12. Because of the change in the station's transmission radius, some viewers in the counties listed the message will not be able to receive WCNC-TV over the air on digital channel 22, or PSIP 36.1.
The list: Southern Mitchell County, NC; Western McDowell County, NC; Eastern Buncombe County, NC; Rutherford County, NC; Eastern Henderson County, NC; Western Polk County, NC; Eastern Greenville County, SC; Western Spartanbrug County, SC; Northern Union County, SC; Cherokee County, SC; Southwestern Cleveland County, NC*; Burke County, NC*; Caldwell County, NC*; Iredell County, NC*; Central Rowan County, NC*; Central Lancaster County, SC*; and Northern Chester County, SC*.
The counties or county portion with asterisk marks (*) denote these areas are part of the Nielsen-determined "Designated Market Area" for Charlotte, of which WCNC-TV is a part of. There are DTV maps provided by the FCC here: http://www.fcc.gov/mb/engineering/maps/
I have never had a problem picking them up in the N.C. high country and the Grayson Highlands.
