  • Yoo can also use the tumbler to pollish yr wife's silverware and gold jewlery, and clean freshly laid eggs to get the poop off them, also gently cleans cell phones, cameras etc without getting them wet

  • looks like kitty litter

  • Aluminum Oxide is Aluminum powder that has oxidized. I'm not sure if you could use that. Google "rock polish grit" and "corn cob media" the rock shed carries all of it. The link is above under video!

  • @12Annuanki12 where to get those materials? is aluminum oxide same as regular aluminum powder?

  • @12Annuanki12 Fluorite can only be polished DRY because it absorbs water and will not polish when it has absorbed water! After all steps are finished let fluorite dry before polishing dry step! You can buy all these materials on the internet.

  • @kumsamut The "grit" is Silicon carbide powder the word grit means the size of the granules of powder. Course to fine. Each step in the process removes scratches from the previous steps. Course grade powder makes stones round by grinding them down like sand in a river. Then finer powder is used to remove scratches until smooth. Then polish (Aluminum Oxide) powder is used DRY to polish the fluorite to a high shine along with corn cob media because the cob is soft so it doesn't scratch fluorite.

  • @12Annuanki12 so hard, so difficult. so rotary to start then vibrating unit. why corn cub. what is cutting grid. i am asian. i don't understand technical english words. rubber band, is it rubber band that use for sealing the bags, or sling shots? so complicated. what is your email? thanks for your expertise.

  • @12Annuanki12 sorry first step is 120-220 grit!!!!! NOT 60-90!!

  • @kumsamut round the stones with normal cutting grit 60-90 grit 12-24 hours

then 500 grit for 12-24 hours (add plastic pellet media at this point or rubber band pieces)

then 1000 grit for 24 hours(more rubber band pieces or plastic pellets)

then (dry no water) dry corn cob and add about 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons of Aluminum Oxide polish 48+ hours. Make sure the media takes up 75% of the space. Longer is better polish

I recommend using a vibratory tumbler for final step and rotary for all others!

  • @12Annuanki12 cool will do dry. but what material to use to polish it.
