My Chicken Works it for the Camera

I dressed Mary up as the main character from "The Tale of Genji" for the New Yorker's Critterati contest. She has always been good about staying still for pictures, but I was shocked at how still and patient she was while wearing a costume for the first time. I sound really apologetic in the movie clip because I was worried that she was unhappy. However, she waited until I was done taking pictures and then shrugged off the costume, ate her peanut reward, and went back to bed.
