In class, Dr. Osler once told us that there is no other field of study that leads one closer to divine truth than mathematics. Over time, I have found his words to be true - and I dedicate this quote to him:
"I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me."
I'm taking Osler's History of Math class this semester. It's so fun and interesting... I expected it to be really boring, and it probably would be with any other instructor.

I've taken his courses. You ask this man anything and he knows the answer. Kind gentleman and brilliant.
