King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV of Tonga's funeral in 2006. I was invited by my cousin to volunteer to join as one of the Bearers for the King. The organizers were afraid there wouldn't be enough volunteers but were shocked to see more than an expected turn out from the people that loved this King so much.
The late King Taufa'ahau IV was definitely a good role moral and leader for this such small island but yet gigantic in the world scene.
I have much respect to the late King and honor to be one of the Fata during the funeral procession that day.
What a high honor, to participate in a historical event like that!
We would have appreciated if any original sound could have
been heard, such as at 1:30, instead of the distracting song
that drowned out the actual funeral service. It wouldn't matter
if the original sound was not very good, just that this is an
event the world only sees once in a lifetime and every detail
should be preserved. Thank You for posting. Even here in
the U.S. King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV was very much admired!
