  • Guys, is it possible for a violet stained smear w/o MTB seen be considered positive??

  • isn't this examination used firstly before any other test? especially in endemic areas. once we suspect a person infected with TB in endemic region, we must take the sputum sample to confirm whether his/her sputum contained acid-fast bacilli or not. it's quite sensitive but not specific. isn't it?

  • nice

  • important as a first diagnosis but unfortunately not sensitive ...

  • окраска по цилю нильсену...

  • I like the bit where there's an erythrocyte and some stained bacteria :)
