Chapter 7: Home Sweet Home.

______Jocelyn's POV______

Of course choosing to cut Nick off cold turkey would be difficult. No one, not even me, ever said it would be easy. Part of me wondered wether or not I should just go home. I really didn't want to but I wondered if it would make things easier. Maybe if I left I wouldn't have to suffer so much. (At least that's what I was trying to convince myself of.) I finally decided against it though. I figure that if I did choose to leave there would be too many questions that would arise and frankly I just couldn't get myself to make a rational decision. I figure I might as well stay until I know for sure what I'm doing.

We arrived at the house and as soon as we walked in the door I felt at ease. This was after all home to me too. This is where we spent our breaks on tour. My family would fly up and we would spent the duration of the break here. It was on a golf course and was absolutely huge. There were rooms for everyone. I had my own. There were so many extra guest rooms that this place could be considered a hotel if necessary. I had a fun time choosing my room way back when they first bought this house. There were so many beautiful choices. In the end I went with the one with the best space and most beautiful view. It's kind of interesting how the room just happened to be between Joe and Nick's though. Then there was Kevin's a little further down to the right and to the left was Frankie and the parent's rooms.

The rooms were sound proof, much to everyone's delight. Nick tended to stay up all night writing most nights and sometimes it got loud. I always would be able to hear it even when I was at my own house when we were younger. Even now I know he stays up until all hours writing. Then there's Joe who usually spends his time playing loud video games or doing some kind of tumbling in his room (I always used to hear him fall), Kevin was either on the computer, playing his guitar, or on the phone with Dani, and the parents were quiet so I never really had a complaint about them. I was happy to be able to blast music or play an instrument without being embarrassed by the brothers surrounding me.

Even though It felt like I was home and I was happy it did I was a little torn. I wanted to be here, in this gorgeous house, feeling at home but I also wanted to be on tour. I always loved the tour bus rides. I could sit and stare out the window all day wrapped up in my thoughts. I loved going to different stated or countries. The culture, the people, the excitement. Everything that I would never take for granted. I loved being along for the ride. Even though there was the school work that was the only downer. Besides Nick and I were ahead. He just finished High school and I only had a coupe more months left. It was the only reason I was able to come on tour this year but I already explained that.

I was laying in my bed just enjoying the quiet, slowly drifting into unconsciousness where everything seemed to make more sense.

...

I woke up the next morning smiling. I had the best dream filled with the greatest idea. A dream that contained an amazing song. Something that I needed to figure out. I grabbed the closest notebook and pencil and started writing everything down every lyric before I forgot. I went to sit at my keyboard and let the tune play in my head. I was glad I could recognize most of the notes before I had to play around for the rest.

I sat there for about ten minutes before I got most of the gist of playing it. I was about to finish up the chorus before a knock startled me. I immediately grabbed everything and threw it under my comforter before I went to open the door. I took a deep breath to make sure my breathing wasn't rushed as I opened it. The first thing I saw was. . . nothing at least until I looked down and spotted Frankie smiling.
"Breakfast is almost ready." He smiled.
"Okay, let's go." I grabbed his hand and we ran down the stairs and to the kitchen. The song not once forgotten in the back of my mind.
