Myst and Riven were they only ones I was hooked with. The rest just didn't feel like Myst. It's probably because Cyan Worlds stopped.

@koolgool your not the only one, i missed the actors in myst V, it felt extremely cheap to have it fully animated, and myst and riven are thebest, they were also supposed to be it in the series

Hey can anyone help me out here? I used to have this old game called The Castle that is similar to Myst in the style it was done (clicking combined with pictures), and it was really mysterious-oo-ahh, but now it's suddenly disappeared. I sold it and now I can't find it again anywhere. I also can't find anyone else who has even heard about the game.

I feel like I'm the only Myst fan who found Myst 5 to be a complete disappointment. :< I love the first two games the best, though... especially Riven.

Speaking of MMOs, Go to MystOnline (dot) com. It's a free to play MMO set in the Myst universe. Pretty fun. I'm thinking of doing Let's Play videos for it on my channel.

@Archestereo According to the literature, as well as the three novels, the link is created when a world is described with ultra-precise detail. This causes a time-space rift (as I understand) that is stable enough for a human to travel through relatively unharmed. It's a fascinating concept.
