A Sid Film: The George Scene

"A Sid Film" is a simple story about a Thai girl's struggle to become
a filmmaker. The film was shot at Khon Kaen University (KKU) in Khon
Kaen, Thailand and was co-written, co-directed and performed by KKU
students. Most of the actors could not speak more than a few words of
English.

The following clip comes at a low point for the protagonist Sid, whose
plans to make a movie are squashed after Sid's father angrily smashes
her video camera. Just when she can't feel any worse, an eccentric
admirer with a Machiavellian flair enters the scene to provide some
unexpected inspiration by reciting a poem.
