可再生能源產品設計比賽 - (WIN-N.I.E)

風力發電早已在世界各國普及應用。但以香港這片石屎森林為例，加上風會從不同方向流動，難以應用到傳統水平風力發電機。正因如此，我們隊伍設計的直立式旋轉風力發電機便能­解決上述問題。當不同風速的風來自不同方向，都能令到渦輪轉動，為我們帶來免費的能源，既可節省電費，又能充分利用風能。

Wind energy is one of the well-known renewable energy in which it has already been widespread and was commonly used in numerous countries. However, this kind of technology could hardly be applied in traditional wind turbine in Hong Kong. As Hong Kong is an extremely crowded city and wind flow is not in a particular direction. In order to solve this problem, our team has designed a generator entitled "Vertical Axis Wind Turbine with Singled-ended Primary Inductor Converter (SEPIC)" . When wind comes from different directions and in different wind speed, these factors enable a continuous rotation of the turbine. As a consequence, this newly invented generator brings us plenty of free energy as well as saving a lot of electricity tariffs.
