Florida's Jeremy Hall holds off LSU's fast closing Trindon Holliday to lead the Gators to the 2009 NCAA title over LSU. An interesting part of this race is the last leg in which Holliday was matched up against Clemson's Jacoby Ford. This is probably a good indicator of what would have happened if Ford hadn't pulled up in the 100 final.

  • I'd like to know what Holiday's split time was. it had to have been under 10 flat.

  • @HattoriYakuza split times are way faster than open times because the runners are already sprinting when they start their split.

  • I'm going to guess Holliday ran about a 9.1-9.3. He was flying, but not as much as some of the sub 9 runners. Look at Bryan Barnett at the 2009 IAAF 4x100m final for Candada. He was flying, and that was a 9 flat. If Holliday had gone pro, he could hhave been pretty good. Maybe the anchor for the U.S

  • @HattoriYakuza The discussion is about 4x100 splits, not open 100 times. Don't you know the difference? Are you a track & field fan or just a casual observer of the sport?

  • @jazzcyclist the world's fastest 100m meter time literally is 9.58. nowhere near 8 seconds.

  • @HattoriYakuza I'm positive. In the open 100, the top guys can cover the middle 10-meter segments in 0.83s, and Bolt can do them in 0.82s. By the way, 8.7 seconds is 11.5 m/s, not 13.

  • @033Rob Jacoby Ford has never beaten Trindon in the 100.

  • @jazzcyclist Are you sure? Usain's PR is 9.5 not 8. 8.7 is about 13 meters per second which is basically dinosaur strides.

  • Dam look at lil Trindon close that fuckin lead !!! This little soldier can FLY !!!!!
