Simply beautiful. From Jackie's first album "Jackie DeShannon" (1963). Also known as her folk album.
Jackie had heard Bob Dylan in New York in 1963 and realized that he was gonna become a big star. She wanted to record an album with his songs, but her record company turned her down. So Jackie ended up doing a wonderful album anyway, but there were only three songs by Dylan on it.
Nice version, but still PP&M's reign supreme!

Really really nice version. I remember her so well. Being a teenager in the 60's was a gift from God.

This is just gorgeous, tingling all over version ! It would be just perfect with some film or some old locos...

Magic! What a beautiful "break" in her voice - real feeling. Can't get too much of Jackie. Thanks for posting.

I loved this song as a kid but had forgotten about it. Thanks to youtube I rediscovered it some time back. I made an attempt at recording it myself. Stop by my channel sometime and check it out.

I have never heard her version of this wonderful old song before. This is such an incredible song I have always loved it since I was a kid. I was recently inspired to attempt to sing it myself. I am very much just an amature singer but I would be pleased if the people who like this song would stop by my channel and give a listen to my rendition.....Terry
