@Nickdiaublow I wrote something wrong you should play C dorian and not Bb dorian. C dorian is the second mode of Bb major.

@Nickdiaublow because Bb minor is also c Phrygian which is another although less common minor scale

This is in C minor - You could play Eb Major. C being the relative minor of Eb (down a minor third) = C aeolian = C D Eb F G Ab Bb C.
Jazz player would mostly play Bb Dorian = Bb MAJOR scale C D Eb F G A Bb C. the difference is the A and Ab.
