  • @Benjaminoscreamo Tell me about it, dude... Earlier Post-Hardcore used to be beautiful! Alexisonfire, Saosin, Silverstein, Chiodos (FIRST ALBUM ONLY), Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Thrice, The Used, Hawthorne Heights, Thursday, From First To Last, Emery, Senses Fail... As much as I adore the 90's, I'd give anything to relive the early 2000's to take full advantage of such a great time for music.

    What the fuck happened...?

  • @wutconnur Of course not. Ian MacKaye is my idol. Fugazi is an amazing band. The bands I mentioned are bands that more people seem to relate to.

  • @Theatricasualty That's early modern Post-hardcore. Don't forget the originals like Fugazi, Refused. etc.

  • @ShaneRoweFilms At first, I had just assumed the band as a whole had sort of gone stale. Craig's new lyrics are god-awful. Which is disappointing, because he was able to make such great lyrics. Angst, maybe? I've listened to his work in DRUGS, and I'm not impressed at all. The band itself sounds off to me. Which is a shame, because there are so many talented people in DRUGS. You can't hear the chemistry at all. Mr. Owl Ate My Metal Worm is the only song of theirs I can fully enjoy.

  • @Theatricasualty Chiodos was my favorite band at the time when BPP came out, and I remember buying that album being so excited that they had a new album coming out (and the only song I heard prior to the album was Undertaker which in my opinion is the best song on the album - but still not exactly sounding quite "right" for Chiodos if that makes any sense). I bought it, and then I listened to it and was just so sad because I really wanted to like it... but I just didn't lol

  • @ShaneRoweFilms I was running low on characters. But yeah, their earlier material is so good. :) Most people only recognize bands by albums, as opposed to EPs and demos. BPP was a terrible album overall with three songs that I actually liked. I purchased the album from them after an amazing performance from them at Warped Tour (they originally ended with The Undertaker's Thirst, but were almost immediately called for an encore, and played There's No Penguins in Alaska), I was upset later...

  • @8JobForAMexican8 DGD doesn't sound very good anymore. I've gotten to meet the band five times, and I was not impressed by their personalities at all. In fact, I was offended. Kurt Travis was such a nice guy, though. A Lot Like Birds is a great example of new post hardcore being solid. However, it doesn't stand up to the wave of earnest sounding bands, that set the blueprints for the future of the genre and similar genres. There was a certain feel to the early 2000's that I really liked.

  • @pravinchandradavid xiao xin. It's originally from the chinese word that means caution.

  • @Theatricasualty i kinda like the new Post Hardcore scene. Dance Gavin Dance, Alot Like Birds, Just Like Vinyl, Decoder, Architects, letlive., etc. Shows that evolution has changed alot.

  • @Theatricasualty Couldn't agree more. Too much mainstream nonsense out these days.. rap is turning mainstream along with country.. as if pop wasn't bad enough

  • @Theatricasualty scene happened haha
