God commanded his Ministers to take Tithes of the people. This law is still good, however many ministers have misused it. (The Bible warns us of false prophets, seeking filthy lucre.) Abraham paid tithes, prior to Levi; therefore paying tithes did not cease when the Levites disappeared. God expects his servants to offer their best and the tenth is a great offering.

  • show me in the scriptures where jesus tock up an tithe?you can't! because he was from the tribe of judah. show me in the new testiment where jesus tock up an offering during his ministry. people gave to him willingly. he said bless are the poor in spirit for yours is the kingdom of heaven. i know who God was talking to back than, brother! and i know how to rightly divide the word of God. thats what the holy spirit is for. and he shall teach you all things?? is heaven that poor?? wow!! dues?

  • hey young brother, you need to learn about biblical herneneutics and teaching interpretation of the scriptures. not mixing law and grace because this is taboo. you need to know who the scriptures were talking to , the time it said what it said and is it applicable to us today.

  • @Jarreau24 Indeed and Amen JT!

  • powerful video Amen I love this teachings and u are backing it up with scripture God bless you!!, JT

  • @corneliuslb, oh my... thanks for enlightening us about tithes/ smh!

  • 75% black men are in prison. and another black person is about to discover that she or he has H.I.V why don't you talk about these issues! and stop preying on the weak, and vulnerable. robb not the poor because he is poor. you don't know any thing about titheing.

  • Your opening statement is partially accurate. Hebrews 7:5 tells us the Levites who receive the office of priesthood have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law. So as you indicated the law is still good but the tithe was inherited by the Levites from the Most High. Yes inheritance, see Numbers 18:20, 23-24. This is telling us that this people (Levites) will have no Land inheritance but the tithe will be theirs as it is to this day. Abraham paid tithes to a priest also.

  • @ThyKingdomCome77 This is a good point but we should not make tithing something it's not. Leviticus 27:30 - tells what the tithe is, which is the fruit of the tree and the seed of the land. verse 31 lets us know without doubt that it cannot be money because a man can redeem or buy back his tithe. Please review this text carefully because most tend to overlook the passage. Numbers 18:20-32 tells us that the Most High gave this tithe to the levites and when it was received by them it was eaten.

  • @chog8 So you don't want to give at least a tenth to the Lord you have a problem with that? Is a man in sin who takes 1/10 of what he has and gives to God? You speak of Priest and Levites, but please remember that these men where Choose by God To do his bidding. So if I go to Church(On the Sabbath) and I choose to Pay a tenth there is no law against that. But to not give well Look at Cain and Able.

  • @jedaiah777 Answer these three questions:

    In The Old Testament:

    1. Whom was the Tithe given to and why?

    2. Find at least three differences between the Priests and the Levites.

    In The New Testament:

    3. Why was NO TITHING ASKED BY ANY APOSTLE?
