  • Personally the lighting on her face is basically blown out and overexposed. not sure if thats the look you're going for (not that you would) but ya, thats how it looks to me bud.

  • @Slipknotsico666 this is a projection of an image onto the screen the original is spot on.

  • Hey Jared, quick question. When you are taking photos, do you have preset contrast, saturation, sharpness, etc, levels in your camera or do you leave all that at neutral and adjust them in Lightroom only? The Canon DSLR's have "picture style" options with preset contrast, etc, for different environments like portrait, and landscape. Should I leave those settings at neutral in the camera and adjust all that in Lightroom or adjust some of it in the camera and more in Lightroom? Thanks.

  • @BigCatsWildlife i set them but they do not effect my images its only for preview on camera.

  • @JaredPolin I meant more as in video Strobox diagrams. I end up watching 90% of these videos on the iPhone as I'm constantly on the road. I've been signed up on the website for quite a while now.

  • @jhcentrl they will def get cut in in the future.

  • I love your vids. I also love that you make a mistake once in a while, even though you could have edited it out. Hey you're honest and "real" with us, that's awesome. It makes you even better I think.

Thank you soooo much for all you give to us. Knowledge is like wealth, and you make us richer by your giving.

  • @JaredPolin

ah, understandable. Really kinda throws off the image though for the viewers...Great lighting diagrams though, those are very helpful.

    Cheers dude.

  • Greg, Jared, When using FLASH, do you guys ever use a light meter, or is it all trial and error? If so, would you guys add that to the FLASH lesson?

    Keep up the good work.

  • Greg, do you recommend buying an SB 600 for the D3100 or saving more money for the SB 900?

  • what music it is? please please please please tell me!

  • GREG IS THE MAN! NO ME,ME,ME AND I, AND NO CAPTAIN CHARISMA BULLSHIT!!

lose the fro knows intro greg cause you aint fro and just intro yourself! love your work best on the tube bro!

  • I really love these hands-on videos. Lighting has always been a big mystery to me, how to make it look good. So, thumbs up!

  • Good video with good style, Greg. Short and to the point--and you had your comments planned out ahead of time (at least it seemed so). The umbrella used as fill on the shadow side, that was without a flash, just as a reflector, is that correct? I like that, sometimes flat reflectors are a pain to position and hold where you want them.
