a telemark ski descent on mount rainier one sunny mothers day. we were skiing it in shorts as it can be quite warm at times. Camp Muir is a climbers high camp at 10,080 feet and about 4,000 feet shy of the summit. Great spring and summer skiing up here, in the winter the short days and normally treacherous weather keeps the muir snowfields a rarefied ski experience. in summer the conditions are (normally) a bit more enjoyable.
