  • I haven't done the necessary research. But it seems that at the top of the stretch - if no one else is flying then the winner will be the front runner!

  • The Kentucky Derby is gonna be good this year, Sidney and Lion are gonna be head to head.

  • im going to bet looking at lucky in the derby after seeing this race. horse has what it takes to finish up good at the derby distance, and should get a good pace to run at.sidneys candy had a dream trip ,setting soft fractions .should find the pace in the derby a lot hotter. good luck to all !!!!

  • I hope Joe Talamo rides Sidney;'s Candy in Louisville. He does deserve the mount.

  • LOL so I guess Gomez punched Espinoza for cutting him off in the turn. It really did look like Lucky was gonna make a bid at Sidney's candy before Gomez got cut off in the turn. I will be "lookin at Lucky" for a good run in the Derby. Much better horse than he showed on this day after the squeeze play.

  • @GoldenGaleStables

Ya, I think he can win the KY Derby if he has a half decent trip, even if he gets cut off he still has a chance. Probably my pic for the Derby now that Lentenor`s definately out. Just depends on who gets in, its the Derby, you never know what`ll happen. Definately a good horse.

  • Lookin At Lucky may have finished third but he still is my derby pick. I think he may have ran a better race than the Wood

  • @Beatlegirl4eva: I agree. Denman actually says that Lookin at Lucky "got stopped cold" and "has dropped out," and yet who finishes third? Lookin at Lucky.

He got a bad trip in the Rebel, too, having to jump heels of a horse in front of him at the half and losing all action and momentum. But he came up barely at the wire, having gone wide through the turn, to win it. That's a two-turn win over conventional dirt, as well, something most recent Cal-shippers to Churchill can't boast.

  • Wow, Lookin At Lucky ran very impressively! Sidney`s Candy ran well too, but Lookin At Lucky, IMO ran a more impressive race.
