The amazing Marilyn Horne singing an African American spiritual I've Just Come From The Fountain at the Lincoln Center on 28.12.1983. The concert called The Great American Songbook featured an array of folk songs, spirituals, hymns and patriotic songs. The American Symphony Orchestra was conduced by Leonard Slatkin with the New York Choral Artists backing the diva up in some of the songs. In this particular piece however, Horne sings completely a capella, without any accompaniment whatsoever.
