One more suggestion. DO NOT use car batteries. They are designed to provide "busts" of power for cranking and are not designed to drop below 75% capacity without casing recharge issues. Switch to a deep cycle battery and you will gain 30-40% more runtime off the battery while not loosing the recharge abilities in the long run. Deep Cycle batteries do not cost much more than a standard car battery.
great video, if you are thinking of doing this, consider skipping the inverter and running a straight DC system with a PicoPSU that will take the 12V from your battery and supply power to your computer.
