West Berlin S-Bahn train rides 1989

A trip on the West Berlin S Bahn line 2 from Marienfelde to Mariendorf, then @ 6:10 on the line 3 "Stadt-Bahn" from Grunewald through the forest to Nikolassee. A stop @ 7:25 at the signalbox lets the relieving signalman alight from the train. These class 275 trains were built from 1927 and operated on both West & East Berlin networks before the fall of the Wall in 1989. The autobahn can be seen running alongside the line @ 9:10

I love the sound. It reminds me of the times when I was younger, it was summer, we were sitting on the large bench at the end of the wagon, opened the door at 80 kph and the fresh cooling wind came in :D .
