In Loving Memory of Graciela Letizia Marandino
January 9, 1977 - November 17, 2008

She was murdered by her abusive husband on November 17th. He hit her and knocked her unconscious, then burned her house down.
Needless to say, it came as quite a shock to everyone. At least nobody that she worked with at the animal hospital had any suspicion that there was any trouble in her marriage.

She was always a wonderful vet tech, treating all the animals with tenderness and love. She had aspired to become a veterinarian herself.

I miss my sister very much. l fell sick for a week thinking it was a cold but I was wrong. If my sister were here it would have been different. It was devistating. I miss her so much. Soon I will have a video here on you tube in remembrence of her.

@GriffinGurl That's the way I alwaus felt too - she would have made a great veterinarian - she had a special way of relating to animals that not all people have. Dr. Newman, also a great vet, in my opinion, was heartbroken by her death. About a year ago, I had to have my beloved cat Rousseau euthanised there due to kidney failure.

Yes, that's always the feeling I got about her was that she could be friends with everyone.

She was very easy to be friends with. She was so kind to everyone.

Thank you! I know that makes her passing especially painful to you. I didn't know her anywhere near as long as you did, and the only part of her life I really knew was from my interactions with her at CHAH, but I found it very easy to become friends with her.

Such a shame that she got mixed up with that guy. It sounds like there were warning signs early on that he was an abuser. So sad!

Gracie was my friend. I've known her since 8th grade. The last time I saw he in person was the day before she married the asshole. I miss her so much.
